How do I get WoW addons to work?

I downloaded questhelper, bartender, cartographer etc. then I extracted them all to my WoW folder. They were all zipped which may be the problem, but the addons button wasn’t on the character selection page like it should be, and it wasn’t anywhere in interface(in game). I’m guessing you know that you extract the zip files to
WoW > Interface > Addons
There has to be something wrong within the Addons folder if it wasn’t showing up at the character selection page. Maybe you have folders within a folder in the WoW addons when you extracted. I would look over the folder you extracted and take the individual folders out of that and put them directly into the addons folder.

February 3rd, 2010 at 5:11 pmyeah, extract them to the World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns folder.
it might be better to extrac them to a temp folder and them move them, because they often auto-extract to a folder with a subfolder that has the actual data.
So when u extract questhelper, it makes questhelper\questhelper and the 2nd folder is the one that needs to be in the addons folder.
February 6th, 2010 at 5:18 pmfirst u should click manual install if ur doing this from curse gaming should go to my computer then c drive then program files then world of warcraft then interface then addons then just drag and drop the folders then restart wow and should be a addons button on the bottom left of ur screen
