I think my favorite is carbonite, for quest help.

Carbonite is a must have, it is by far my favorite addon. I’d also go with Arkinventory, FuBar and any plugins you may find helpful. Recount is a nice one too, shows your DPS, total damage done, and ranks you in your group. There are plenty at this site:
    wowui.worldofwar.net/

It’s where I go to get all mine, also you may want to dowload wowMatrix, the program updates your addons, and installls them, and allows you to download some through the program, it’s great, works well and is free.

I think I would recommend Questhelper/Carbonite, Autoprofitx, Fubar, Cartographer, Atlasloot enhanced, Omen, Outfitter, X-Perl Unit frames, Bartender4, and (if you have mining or herbalism) Gatherer.

Questhelper/Carbonite will boost your leveling speed exponentially by showing you on your map, and with a directional arrow on your screen, where to go next for your quests.

Autoprofitx is an older addon, but it still works just fine. What it does is place a button on merchants that auto-sells all of your Grey items (customizable). This doesn’t seem like much, but it speeds up your selling time.

Fubar keeps track of your other addons by placing a bar at the top or bottom of your screen and gives links to your enabled addons.

Cartographer makes your map into a window so you can still ride, interact and actually see whats going on while you are looking at your map. In addition it can be customized to show unexplored areas.

Atlasloot enhanced will show you all of the bosses loot in instances and drop percentages. It is a great tool for seeing what to run for gear, and which boss drops it.

Omen Threat Meter isn’t a big deal at this point in your game, but when you get to higher levels, you are going to need to be keeping track of your threat, weather your DPSing the instance or Tanking it.

Outfitter keeps track of your gear and you can switch from dps gear to tank gear and back with a press of a button.

X-Pearl isn’t a big deal at this point, but at higher level you will need it for raids, so it’s best to get used to it now. It categorizes every player in your raid group into subgroups visually on your screen.

Bartender4 customizes your user interface by allowing you to put as many action bars and buttons as you want and anywhere on your screen.

There are plenty of other great ones out there, check wow.curse.com for a complete list and popular downloads.

I think I’d recommend (For any class) to start by downloading WoWMatrix. Simply google it, download, and install. From there you can browse an AddOn database of all AddOns in WoW, and it installs them for you. I DL’ed it and it worked like a charm. For any class, any play style, I use AtlasLoot, QuestHelper (Shows you exactly where everything is, however it only points a straight line to the objective, so you’ll have to navigate around mountains and such) and LeetPlayer (Simply puts an elite, rare, or rare elite decorationaround your portrait).

I think This is all preference!

I use Atlas Loot, a modded minimap for style, questhelper, and titan bar!

    79 undead mage
    75 tauren shaman
    65 orc rogue
    60 blood elf deathknight

I run a guild on Ysondre server on the ally side. You can look me up if you wish. I would be happy to help in any way I can. My toon’s name is Apallo in the guild Knights of Stormwind. One of the programs I have all my new guys get is wowmatrix.com. This program you can download all your mods from. First though you have to download the program.

After that I would get the following:

Questhelper: This is a must have addon that will allow you to find starting points and ending points to quests.

Carbonite: This is a little heavier than questhelper, though some prefer it. Downsides to this addon is it takes over the map.

Fubar: This will add a bar to the top or bottom or both if you wish. From there you place your addons icons on the bar. Convenient.

Silverdragon: This keeps an eye out for rare spawns and keeps a log of where you find them.

Bartender: This is a addon that lets you customize your action bars or add them. A must have.

Auctioneer: This addon will keep track of the in game market.

Deadlyboss: Running a lot of instances or dungeons? This is a must have. Tells you cool downs and cast times for boss special ablilities.

Allplayed: Keeps track of your playing time.

Atlas Loot: Lets you look at drops in specific dungeons and raids.

Like I said, please contact me in game if you require further assistance. I would be happy to help.

i think u should get a few addons and not too many to start off with. The most helpful ones are : questhelper/carbonite ( help you quest), cartogropher ( opens up the area in ur map), and xperl ( unitframes )
but if you want more extra, u can always look into wowmatrix and download.
