How is it that people can write different addons for WoW?
I heard part/all of the game was coded in LUA, but how are they stopped from writing add-ons which might give them free things?Submited by:Donnie
I think WoW addons are indeed often written in a language called LUA, as for preventing people from using addons as a cheat, Blizzard uses a complex mix of methods to prevent it, many of which are server side and cant be modified by clientside code.
